Privacy Policy

Modiq is operated by Ohris Concepts AB (“Modiq”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Sweden. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use modiq — the website, the waitlist, and the styling service — why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

What we collect

• Waitlist. If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the sign-up source, and the time you joined. We use it for one purpose: to invite you when access opens.
• Account. When you create an account we store your name, email address, a securely hashed password, your country (used to choose where your data is stored), and optionally a display name, profile image, and preferred language.
• Style profile. Preferences you choose to share — styles, fit, palette, budget, occasions — used to compose outfit recommendations for you.
• Wardrobe images. Photos of clothing items you upload are stored in our cloud storage and analysed to describe the item (category, colour, material). They are private to your account.
• Saved outfits and activity. Outfits you save and the requests you make to the styling engine, so the service works and improves for you.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) kept for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies and local storage

Modiq uses no advertising or analytics cookies. We use a small number of strictly functional items: your session tokens are kept in your browser’s local storage (fd-auth) so you stay signed in, and a functional cookie (fd-locale) remembers your language so pages render in it. These are necessary for the service to work and are not used to track you across other sites.

Why we process your data

• To provide the service (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): accounts, styling recommendations, wardrobe, saved outfits.
• Waitlist communication (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)): one invitation email when access opens. You can withdraw at any time by asking us to remove you.
• Security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)): server logs and rate limiting.

Where your data lives and who sees it

Your data is stored with our cloud hosting and storage providers, chosen with your country in mind. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers. Service providers that process data on our behalf do so under data-processing agreements. If Modiq links you to a partner retailer, that retailer only learns about you if you visit their site — see our affiliate disclosure.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until you are invited or ask to be removed. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within a reasonable period after you delete your account. Server logs are kept for a short rolling window.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to admin@modiq.style and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local supervisory authority.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes affecting account holders will be announced in the product.
